About Papua New Guinea
This coffee is grown in fertile volcanic soil at altitudes ranging from 1,200 to 1,800 meters above sea level, in the highlands of Papua New Guinea where the cool, misty climate creates ideal conditions for slow coffee maturation. Many of the farms are located in remote, rugged areas. Roads are often nonexistent and most coffee is grown casually in gardens alongside the farmers food supply. In fact, 99% of coffee is grown by individuals with an average farm size of .83 hectares and an average production of just 10 bags per year.
We roast this coffee to-order in small batches from our Northumberland based roastery to ensure optimum freshness and flavour by the time it makes it into your mug.
